AFTERHOURS

One of the many social events we have. Afterhours are accompanied by a band or a central theme of the night in order to provide entertainment and fun for students at The Ohio State University. These are usually large gatherings and all are welcome to enjoy the festivities.

FOOTBALL BLOCK

Football Blocks are more exclusive events. Football Blocks usually consist of our fraternity pairing with a sorority and celebrating our Ohio State Spirit before, during, and after football games. This year our fraternity will be paired with the Ladies of  Pi Beta Phi for a football season to remember!

THEME GATHERINGS (TG)

TGs are exclusive parties between our fraternity and a designated sorority with a central theme that everyone dresses up to. This experience serves to meet new people and have fun with your fraternity brothers and with the respective sorority. We have even had the pleasure of Dr. Gee visiting one of our TG's to come enjoy the festivities.

DATE PARTY

Date Parties are more exclusive to members of Sigma Chi where brothers invite their dates on a night filled with dinner and entertainment. We have at least one date party every quarter. Our Christmas Cocktail has been an ongoing tradition and continues to be one of the best nights here at Sigma Chi.

SWEETHEART FORMAL

The Sweetheart Formal is held during Winter and is the most eventful night of the quarter. On this special occasion, we award brothers for their contributions throughout the year. As the night continues, brothers serenade a lucky lady as she becomes the next Sweetheart of Sigma Chi.

HOMECOMING WEEK
 
Homecoming Week is a time for celebration as the fraternity is paired with a sorority for the week. This time serves to meet new people, participate in community service, build on alumni relations, and enjoy a week of festivities. We host our Alumni Banquet Dinner to welcome back the brothers who have graduated. Last year we spent Homecoming with Kappa Alpha Theta and had the privilege of meeting their ladies. This year we look forward to spending some quality time with the Ladies of Alpha Xi Delta.

GREEK WEEK

Greek Week is a week long event sponsored by Ohio State where fraternities and sororities compete with one another for the right to call themselves, "Greek Week Champs." There are many activities to participate in including dodge ball, obstacles courses, wing-eating contests, and even water balloon toss. The week is wrapped up with The Variety Show where talented sororities put on a performance to show all the hard work they put in for the week. This time serves to meet new people and witness the Greek System as a whole. This year, we will have  the privilege to spend Greek Week with the lovely Ladies of Delta Gamma.

Although Sigma Chi offers one of the strongest social atmospheres on campus, we strive to excel in all facets of Fraternity Life. While our social calendar is filled with many events, we endeavor to focus on more important values of Sigma Chi and use such events as gratification for the work we put forth towards our fraternity, our college, and our community.
