In June 2004 , a "call to arms" was requested by the undergraduate active chapter. That call was met by nearly 100 Sigma Chi alumni graduating from 1944 to 2002, as well as the house corp from Youngstown State! One and a half months, $33,000, and countless man-hours later, the Sigma Chi house is looking incredible. Led by Greg Callaghan (Cal) and Peter Asmar (Azzy), these 99 alumni demonstrated that bonds of brotherhood truly do last a lifetime. Not only did they commit time, money and effort, but Alpha Gamma's housecorp increased five-fold, from 4 members to 20!

The active chapter would like to thank the alumni who helped save the Sigma Chi house this past summer. Your continuing commitment to Sigma Chi speaks louder than any words. Below are a few pictures to chronicle the progress made over the past two months. As a result of all the donations and the hard work, Sigma Chi was able to bring the house completely up to code on all life-safety issues, rewire much of the electricity, purchase and install new range and fryer, repaint all walls of the house, and install glassblock windows in the basement. However, work is not finished yet! More work has yet to be done on the chapter room, kitchen, and all over the house. More pictures to follow!

It is the undergraduate chapter's hope that this dedicated group of alumni serve as an inspiration to any and all alumni reading this. If you would like to help in any way, Alpha Gamma is always seeking dedicated individuals to serve as alumni big brothers and house corp members.
